Charlotte de Bekker

Bio

Charlotte de Bekker is an Award-winning Filmmaker and Artist based in the Netherlands. She spent the majority of her childhood in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, going on to study both Film and Philosophy at NYU’s Abu Dhabi campus. Charlotte uses what she has learnt from her basis of being a filmmaker in the science, education and documentary fields, and ties this in with themes of futurism, nature, and folklore. She recently completed her series of futurist bird paintings, painted in a classical portrait style, titled Bird Kin, which has been sold all over the world.
