Shahram Karimi

Born in Shiraz, Iran, Shahram Karimi has lived and worked since 1988 in Germany and New York. Whilst in Germany, he taught Fine Art from 1991 to 2008 at cologne University. With an extensive collection of exhibitions, the artist works both as a Plastic Artist and in the film industry as a Filmmaker and Production Designer. As a plastic artist he works over many different bases. The canvas Shahram Kamrimi makes, himself, over aslimi or other traditional iranian printed fabrics, specifically, adds dimension and onirism to his paintings, transporting us to visions of his life in Iran.
